What are the symptoms of Perimenopause?

Perimenopause, also known as the menopausal transition, is the phase when your body gradually moves towards menopause, marking the end of your reproductive years.

This transition starts at different times for every woman, but typically signs like irregular periods may pop up in your 40s, or even as early as your mid-30s for some. During perimenopause, your estrogen levels fluctuate, leading to changes in your menstrual cycle length and ovulation patterns. You might also experience symptoms, like hot flashes, sleep issues, and vaginal dryness. Once you've gone a full year without a period, congratulations, you've officially hit menopause, and the perimenopause ride is over!
